Low Carb/Keto Sesame Parmesan Flax Seed Crackers
As you may already know, grain-free crackers can be quite expensive in the grocery store. Here is a quick and easy way to make your own at home with even better ingredients! These are delicious with dips, almond butter, sunflower seed butter or even some grass-fed butter. Did you know that only 2 tablespoons of ground flaxseeds provide 133% of the daily value for omega-3 fats? Yep! They are the the number one source of omega-3s! Flaxseeds have cardiovascular benefits, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits, they support digestive health, they have been shown to benefit post-menopausal symptoms such as reduced hot flashes, and they have even been shown to reduce the risk for some cancers. Flaxseeds are a great source of copper, vitamin B1, manganese, fiber, phosphorous, magnesium and selenium.
These are simple to make. Once you have prepared your ingredients, place them on the parchment paper on two separate baking sheets in a loose ball. Then place a piece of parchment paper or clear plastic wrap over the top and with a small rolling pin, flatten the mixture to 1/8″ inch thickness.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until some what crisp. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes.
Then use a pizza cutter to form into the desired size of crackers.
Let fully cool and place in an airtight container.
I really enjoy these with sunflower butter or almond butter but they are also good with dips, cheese, or even on their own. Enjoy!

Low Carb/Keto Sesame Parmesan Flaxseed Crackers
- 2 cups golden flaxseeds ground
- 3 1/2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated or shredded
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp avocado oil or olive oil
- 1/2 cup water
- Himalayan pink salt to taste
- course ground sea salt to taste
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Prepare two baking sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine the ground flaxseeds, sesame seeds, Parmesan cheese, onion powder and pink salt to taste.
In a medium bowl, whisk the egg, oil and water. Pour this mixture into the dry flaxseed mixture and thoroughly combine.
Place half of each mixture onto each baking sheet. Shape the dough into a loose ball and cover with plastic wrap or parchment paper. Use a small rolling pin to flatten to about 1/8" thickness. Feel free to make your edges smooth and straight, if you desire.
Remove the top layer of saran wrap or parchment paper. Sprinkle with the course sea salt to your liking. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the center is firm.
Allow to cool for 10 minutes. Cut with a pizza cutter into crackers of desired size. Enjoy!
